I had previously used another Jansport backpack for everyday use (laptop, misc. paperwork, etc) for several (10+) years that I absolutely loved, but I finally had to replace. I don't like this one as much. The old one had MUCH thicker, sturdier zippers. The zippers on this are flimsy and tend to stick. The stitching on the older was also much better. The shoulder straps are also not as comfortable or well-made.I used the other one for day-hiking and camping excursions. There is no way I would use this one for that purpose. This one does have space for more stuff. Honestly, it's an OK backpack at a reasonable price if you use it for light, "urban" duty. |
